Visiting with Cousins

Will had a great time this weekend with his Great Uncle Bob, Great Aunt Phyllis, Aunt Sara, Uncle Jeff, and cousins Abbey, Owen, and Lyla. We went out to dinner, went to the Children's Museum, and did lots of playing. Although Abbey and Owen are a few years older than Will, he held his own and tried his best to keep up with them!

Weekend and Videos

We had a fun filled weekend. On Friday, we went to the Whitecaps game with the U of M Alumni Club. Saturday, we did a quick grocery trip in the morning and then did lots of playing at home. We had a bunch of friends over Saturday night for a cookout and Will got to play with 2 adorable little girls. Sunday we walked into town and caught a bit of the "Tour de Gaslight" bike race before heading to the botanical gardens for a picnic lunch and some splashing in the fountain. Before dinner, Will wanted to go outside and walked us over to Aunt Mara and Uncle Ken's house for a quick visit.

Will has also mastered his "shapes" toy and is now a pro at getting up onto the couch in a rather creative way. Here are some videos:

Whitecaps Game

We went to the Whitecaps game tonight with the U of M Alumni Club. We had over 140 people attend. We got to go on the field before the game to play catch, all sat together as a group, had BBQ under the tent in left field, and for those without little kids - fireworks after the game. Will was a trooper. He went down on the field and played "catch" with Grandpa. He sat in his seat for 30-40 minutes and ate his PB&J and blueberries while watching the mascots and flags. He really liked clapping when everyone else did. Then Grandpa walked him around until it was time for the grown ups to eat. He had a late bedtime... but I'm sure he'll still be up at 7:15 as usual! Here are a few photos. It was really bright (and hot!) on the field so they are a bit washed out.

New Student Send Off Picnic

Last night was the New Student Send Off Picnic for the U of M Alumni Club. It was in a park in Comstock Park. We took Will to run around while we helped get things set-up. He had a great time running around and immediately spotted the playground way on the other side of the park. So Phil and I took turns taking him over there to swing during the event. Will looked really cute in his Michigan jersey. We're ready for football season!

Weekend in the D

This weekend we went to Detroit for a Tiger's game. We got into town Friday night and Will had a great time chasing after Grann's dogs. Saturday morning, we took him to "Fort Griswold" in Northville to play. It is an amazing wooden play structure with all sorts of bridges, steps, slides, etc. Will had so much fun exploring. When we went down for his nap, Phil and I left for downtown. We spent the afternoon wandering by the stadiums, the Ren Center, and the river. Then we grabbed an early dinner before heading to the game. The Tigers did not play well but it was still fun to see a game. On Sunday, we went back to the park before heading home. Will was worn out and fell asleep before we got on the expressway.

15 Month Photo

Grann was in town this weekend to watch Will. Kristen's parents went up north for a long weekend so Grann had Will to herself all day Friday. They had a great time going to the playground, the library, and out to lunch. Friday night, we went to the picnic pops at Cannonsburg with some friends while Grann babysat. On Sunday, we walked into town and then went to the park for a picnic lunch.
