We had a great long weekend. We were able to get a lot of stuff done around the house (mowing, edging, taking down our old/broken garage door opener) as well as have a lot of fun. On Saturday, we walked into Gaslight and then went to the zoo. Then we had lunch in downtown GR before stopping at the art museum. On Saturdays, they have projects for kids in the basement education center and Will made a cool picture frame. On Sunday, we took another walk into Gaslight and then played at home for a bit. Will loves his sandbox, pirate ship water table, and "Fort William." Then we packed a picnic lunch and went to Manhattan to play on the playground and have lunch. We walked again on Monday morning and then went to the Botanical Gardens. Will played in the fountains, climbed in the tree house, and visited the "big red barn." Then we stopped at Ramona's Table for lunch and went to Jersey Junction for a treat.

A Break in the Weather
A few weeks ago, Dana brought over Sammy's old raincoat for Will to use. Then last week, she found the matching rainboots. Too cute! Will was over and Grandma and Grandpa's on Wednesday morning, and was able to try out his new gear during a break in the weather.
He really seemed to like it and loved splashing in the puddles.
His pants got wet so they ended up in the dryer. But that didn't stop him from putting his boots back on.

Vacation - Part 1
We just got back from a great week long vacation to South Carolina. We stayed at Litchfield Beach which is about 20 minutes south of Myrtle Beach. We met up with our friends Lauren, John, and "Miss Elizabeth." The resort was great - it had nice pools, a lazy river, walking paths, and a Starbucks. Our condo had a great view of the beach. The kids shared a room and did a great job. (Better than I expected!) We blocked off Elizabeth, but one night we left a small gap and Will managed to hop into her pack and play. That was quickly corrected and they went back to sleep.
The weather was wonderul. Every morning, we got up and walked to the Starbucks which was about a mile away in the complex. We would sit out in the courtyard and let Will run around (and have sips of my decaf frappuccino). Then we would head to the beach for a few hours before lunch. After we ate, we would head to the pool for a bit before nap time. While he slept, Phil and I would trade off going down to the pool for a bit.
I took a lot of photos and videos, so I'm going to spread them out over the course of this week. So check back!

Will's 2 Year Stats
We had Will's 2 year check-up yesterday. He was a good little boy. He only cried when he had his toe pricked and when he got his shot. And I think he was more upset by the band-aids they put on him than by the shots themselves.
Height: 35" (66th percentile)
Weight: 28.13lbs (60th percentile)
BMI: 16 (50% - she said that was perfect for his height/weight)
The doctor was pleased with his development and was impressed by his vocabulary. Our next check-up is at 2 1/2.
