Birthday Fun

William was able to open his presents from us on Friday morning before school. He got a new hockey stick, a new hockey t-shirt, a CD, and the Lego Fire Station. William had fun celebrating his birthday with his baseball team on Friday night. Since it was his birthday, he got to bat first in the line-up. The team sang Happy Birthday to him after the game (which they won) and had baseball donuts. Grann arrived on Friday afternoon and was able to watch Will play. On Saturday, we had fun putting up Grann's gift (stick-on baseball pennants) in Will's room. We also went out to brunch and for a walk at Celery Flats.

Will's Birthday Party

Today we celebrated William's birthday at Airway Lanes with a few of his buddies from school. We started the party with bowling and then moved on to Laser Tag. Next, we went to the party room for pizza, cake and presents. We finished things off with bumper cars and some time in the arcade. Everyone seemed to have a great time.

Happy Birthday, William!

William is Eight! It is going to be a fun-filled day. We will start with "Mornings with Moms" before school. Then, I promised I would bring him Jimmy John's for lunch. Phil is teaching JA in his class in the afternoon which will be followed with his birthday treat. Then we have his baseball game in the evening (w/ donut baseballs as his birthday treat after the game). We hope he has a magical day!

William's First Baseball Game

William had his first baseball game of the season tonight. They decided on a team name right before the game - The Royal Raptors. William had a good game - he had hits at each turn at bat. His last hit was great - unfortunately, the other team was in the right place at the right time. He also got someone out at first. Grandma and Grandpa stayed to see Will at bat a few times. It was a beautiful night for a game and it was fun to see our "baseball family." This is the third season for most of the team and the parents and younger siblings have all become good friends.

Here are a few pictures from Alex's second game on Monday night:

Early Birthday

We celebrated William's birthday a few days early with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a quick pizza dinner, followed by cupcakes from "The Salted Cupcake," and some great presents. Then we had to rush to get changed to get to Will's first baseball game.

Raccoon Run

The boys had fun participating in the Kalamazoo Nature Center's Raccoon Run. Unfortunately, our day is full of baseball practice and birthday parties so we weren't able to stick around for the other Earth Day activities they had planned.
