The first few weeks of school have gone by so fast! We participated in our neighborhood garage sale and cleared out a lot of stuff. While we did the sale, the boys did a lemonade and coffee and donut stand to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand. They also did very well - they raised $50 (which is one hour of cancer research). We also took the boys disc golfing again and went to a neighborhood birthday party. Last Thursday, our friends from Atlanta were in Grand Rapids so we drove up after school to meet them for a quick dinner. The last time William and Elizabeth saw each other they were 2 years and 1.5 years old in Myrtle Beach. School is still going well for the boys.

Open House!

We had a lot of fun at the Moorsbridge Open House. The boys were very excited to show off their classrooms and to introduce us to their teachers. We also toured the school and saw some of their school work. I even got to "show off" my new space!

Go Blue!

On Saturday, we went to Ann Arbor for our annual Michigan football game. It was the perfect day for football - sunny and cool. We walked around campus for a while, had our "dollar dogs," and watched the step show. Then we went to the stadium for warm-ups. We ended up sitting a row away from some of our Grand Rapids friends (2 families) so we decided to meet up for Pizza House after the game. It was fun to see a Michigan win!

First Day of Kindergarten

Alex had a great first day of Kindergarten. He was so excited to ride the bus this morning. We had just about everyone at the bus stop. When I got to school, I was able to see the kids off the bus and follow Alex to class. The Kindergarten teachers ask that the parapros help out the first few days getting the kids settled, putting on backpack bus tags, handing out specials shirts, etc. Alex settled right into the morning routine. It is run to catch glimpses of the boys throughout the day. Alex also insisted on riding the bus home. When the boys got home, they had another surprise waiting for them!

First Day of Third Grade

William had a great first day of Third Grade! This year, he has Mrs. Mulder for a teacher. Grandma and Grandpa came down to watch Alex since he doesn't start until Wednesday.  William had a half day so we met Grandma, Grandpa and Alex for lunch.  Then the boys were treated to a surprise!
