Fishing Camp

Will and his friend Parker spent the week at fishing camp. They played games, did projects, learned about different fish in Michigan, and did a lot of fishing. On the last day, they took a bus to Kevin VanDam's house to fish in his pond. Will caught 4 decent sized fish - one of which was still full of energy when he got home and didn't want to be held.

Wild Baseball

It was another rainy day for baseball. The boys played their first game in light rain.  Will played first base and caught a nice pop-up and made several catches for outs.  This was the first tournament where the batter could run if the catcher dropped the third strike ball so Will saw a lot of balls coming from the catcher.  He had a base hit at his first at bat that was overthrown and he made it to third.  The Wild ended up losing 9-5.  After the game, we went to lunch as a team.  By the time we got back to the field for our 4pm game, it was raining pretty hard and the earlier games were delayed. They ended up postponing all games until Saturday so we should play 2 more tomorrow.

Dog Show

Grann came into town this weekend and we crammed in a lot of fun: UKC Dog Show, lunch at Bell's, walk downtown, and a walk at Celery Flats. The dog show was fun to see. They had agility courses, races, dock jumps, etc.

Final Night of Little League

The boys finished up their regular seasons of Little League this week. William still has one tournament for his travel team and then will participate in Little League All Stars which runs through July 12. Will's team finished their season in third place and the team enjoyed cake after their last game. We had a little celebration for Alex's team in the concession stand area with cake a trophies for the players. I had fun coaching Alex's team again - it was a nice group of kids!

Kick off to Summer

After the last half day of school, the boys had some friends over for our traditional "Kick off to Summer" picnic. We had lunch and they played with the slip and slide, water balloons, and squirt guns.

Last Day of School

It was the last day of Kindergarten and Third Grade for these two! Time for summer!
