We had a lot of fun while Uncle Andrew was in town. We had lunch at Latitude 42 where we played shuffle board and patio jenga. We played two rounds of disc golf on the WMU course - Will even found a friend while we were there. We had lunch at Bell's (and saw a few trains) and dessert at Gonzo's. We also hung out by the fire pit, played disc golf in the yard, and had breakfast at Sweetwater's. The boys were sad to see him go!

Alligators and Andrew
The boys were so excited for Uncle Andrew to come into town. Our first stop was the Alligator Sanctuary. We saw over 150 alligators ranging in size from just a few feet to 10 feet long (Godzilla). They had made quite a few improvements since we visited last year. It was fun to feed them and the boys got to hold one at the end of the tour.

Back to School Shopping
I took the boys out for our traditional back to school dinner and school supply shopping. Alex chose dinner at Red Robin and then we went to Meijer to get his supplies. He had fun picking everything out. Will and I went to lunch at Big Bob's (since we were in Grand Rapids) and then went to pick up his supplies. The boys are all ready to go!

Summer in the City
We took a quick trip to Chicago this weekend to see a White Sox game (stadium #9). We parked in our usually spot and then took the train downtown. We dropped our luggage at the hotel and walked out onto Navy Pier to watch some of the air show. The boys weren't really that interested, so we continued walking along the lake to Maggie Daley Park where they played on the playground for a while. Then we had lunch and walked up to the North Beach area before heading back to the hotel so the boys could swim for a while. Then we took the train down to Guaranteed Rate Stadium. We had great seats - first row, upper deck. The boys picked out their souvenir bats and we did some of the activities in the Kids Zone. On Sunday, we went out to breakfast and then took the train to drop our stuff at the car. Then we walked to Lincoln Park Zoo for a while before taking a random ride on the Brown Line (Will is fascinated with the "L"). Then we had a late lunch before heading home.
