10th Birthday Fun
We celebrated Will's 10th birthday with a few friends last night. The boys (plus Phil) attempted one of the escape rooms. They were one clue short of escaping. They needed a couple more minutes but it was a great attempt. After the escape room, they met Alex and me across the parking lot at Airway for dinner. Then they went to the arcade to do virtual reality, laser tag, and a few games. We wrapped up the night with ice cream cake and a sleepover at our house.
Golden Glove Winner
Alex was the Golden Glove winner at his game on Thursday night because he caught a fly ball for an out when he was playing short stop. He was so excited to make the catch and to receive the golden glove!

Alex's First Machine Pitch Game
Alex had his first machine pitch game last night. He had a good showing at the plate - he got a hit at all four of his at bats. Phil did a great job coaching the Navy Knights.

Happy Easter
What a beautiful Easter Sunday! The boys woke up early and immediately started hunting for eggs that the Easter Bunny left. Later in the morning, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Mara, Uncle Ken, Katie and Will came for Easter Brunch. We ate inside but then spent the rest of the afternoon outside enjoying the weather. The boys played some wiffle ball and hockey and hunted for more eggs outside. We also celebrated Will's birthday a week early.

Piano Lessons
Alex has started taking piano lessons once a week from a woman in our neighborhood. He is very excited to finally put his birthday keyboard to good use.

Madison and Milwaukee
We had a whirlwind trip to Wisconsin this weekend. We left Kalamazoo around 1pm on Friday and got into Madison with plenty of time to walk around and explore. We ventured to the capitol building and were able to walk around inside for a bit before it closed for the night. Then we went down to the lake front and found the Union before heading to the rooftop restaurant at the hotel for dinner. On Saturday, we explored campus, walked to Camp Randall Stadium, and took advantage of the science and engineering expo they had going on for kids. Then we met up with Julia, John, Violet, and Aunt Pat for lunch. It was so nice to see everyone and to meet little Violet. Then we went back inside the capitol before having ice cream on the terrace at the Union. Then we drove over to Milwaukee for the Cubs vs. Brewers game. Stadium #10 - it might be our favorite stadium yet! We stayed for 7 innings and then decided to get on the road to avoid the traffic from the sell-out game. It was a quick, but fun trip!
