We had a very relaxing and enjoyable Christmas at home. The boys woke up at 7am and we went downstairs to start the festivities. We were excited to see snow on the ground! We enjoyed our traditional breakfast of cinnamon rolls and coffee before digging into our stockings around 8. Then we moved onto gifts. We took our time and played with new items as we went. Some of the highlights for the boys were: three person chess, a Zelda shield and chest, and an arcade game for the basement. We finished opening gifts around noon and then got things ready for Grandma. We had some snacks when she arrived and then opened more gifts. Later in the afternoon, we took Winger for a snowy walk and then spent the evening playing with our new games.

Gingerbread Boys
We checked gingerbread boys off our holiday bucket list today. The boys are getting more independent with the rolling/cutting/decorating process. They turned out great!

Bell Ringing
Some of the KWings and their siblings rang bells at Hardings for the Salvation Army. Will and Alex were both there. They received a lot of donations during their two hour window!
Holiday Fun
Although the holidays look and feel different this year, we are still checking off most of our holiday traditions. The boys had their snowman breakfast and also went on a candy cane hunt. Will's hockey team purchased toys to donate to the Bronson Children's Hospital and we walked around our neighborhood looking at Christmas lights.
Cone of Shame
Winger was neutered on Wednesday and has been wearing a cone since then. He certainly doesn't love it but does tolerate it pretty well. We give him breaks every day but he does start licking after a while. Hopefully the stitches will dissolve in another day or two and we can ditch the cone. He has been sleeping with the cone in his bed in our room (not in the crate) and hasn't had any issues.

Santa and Candy Cane Lane
We went downtown to have a socially distanced visit with Santa and to check out the decorations on the mall and in Bronson Park.
