Birthdays that fall in the middle of the weekend aren't as much fun as those on the weekend but we still made the most of the day. Will woke up to traditional streamers on his door and a giant #12 balloon. We had Peace, Love, and Little Donuts for breakfast and Will opened a few gifts before school. Alex had his first little league game so we went to the ballfield and Will rode around in the golf cart with the grounds crew. We picked up pizza from Bilbo's Pizza in a Pan (Will's choice) and had a late dinner while watching Dude Perfect (also Will's choice). Then he opened his remaining gifts. We finished the evening with ice cream cake and a campout in Will's room.

Alex's First Muskie Game
The Muskies played Top Tier in a scrimmage on Sunday afternoon. Alex was the starting pitcher and did very well. Top Tier was definitely the better team but the Muskies played well for their first outing. We are excited for their tournament this weekend.
More Birthday Fun
Grann came for a quick visit on Sunday to celebrate Will's birthday. We took Winger for a walk, ate bumpy cake, and the boys played hockey in the driveway.

Go Tigers!
We took the boys to a Tiger's game today. It was a perfect day for a game - slightly overcast and 60 degrees. The rain held off until we were walking back to the car. The stadium was at 20% capacity but it seemed like there were even fewer fans there. The Tigers lost 2-1 to the Royal but the boys did manage to get balls at the end of the game.

Grandma and Aunt Mara came down for a visit to celebrate Will's birthday a few days early. We ordered in lunch from Fletcher's, ate birthday cupcakes, opened presents and played carpet ball.

Congratulations Wild!
The Wild had a great opening weekend of baseball season. They played in a tournament in Battle Creek. They won their first game on Saturday morning against the Muskies (4-3). They lost a close game in the afternoon against the Traverse City Cyclones (3-5). On Sunday morning, they played great and beat the Broncos 13-3 which earned them a spot in the championship game. They had their second chance against Traverse City in the finals. They were down 4-3 going into the bottom of the 6th (final inning). They battled at the plate and ended up winning 5-3. Will struggled at the plate all weekend but hit the game winning RBI. They didn't receive trophies or medals but get to design championship jerseys which they will receive at a later date.

Little League practices have begun! Alex has a fun team with a lot of Moorsbridge kids. He also received his Muskies jerseys and hat this weekend which he was very excited about.
