Final Road Rally

Today was Alex's final Road Rally!  It was a beautiful day for the run and Phil and I were both able to go up to school to watch.  It's always such a fun day for the kids.  

PCHS Tailgate

We had fun tailgating with friends before the Portage Central football game on Friday. The parents didn't actually go into the game - we just watched from the parking lot. But the boys had a lot of fun!

Hat Trick!

The KWings played the Lakeshore Jr. Jacks on Sunday.  They won 7-1 and Will had a hat trick.  We had two of Will's teammates spend the night so we put my big car to good use!  The video isn't great - I took it from the live stream of the game.

Hockey is Back!

Hockey started this week!  The boys each had two practices and team pictures.  Will had his first game against the Lansing Spartans on Saturday.  The KWings won 7-4 and Will scored the second goal. 

 

Hockey Team Building

Will had his final hockey team building event today at the Pienta’s.  We had a food truck, the boys swam and went tubing, and played lots of yard games.  Our first practice is Tuesday and their first game is Saturday.  Let’s Go KWings!

 

Goodbye, Shadow!

We noticed last Monday (first day of school) that Shadow wasn’t acting right.  He didn’t eat his peppers, was kind of twitching, and was very lethargic. Ot was strange because he had been out on the porch playing the day before.    Alex was very upset and spent the evening giving the little piggy lots of love and snuggles. Unfortunately, he passed away overnight.  Alex decided he wanted to make him a garden stone.  Once the stone had dried, he found a nice spot to bury him in the backyard.  Brady seems to be fine - although he may miss his neighbor.

 

Go Blue!

We had a great time in Ann Arbor for the season opener. We walked around campus, saw Michigan defeat Colorado State, and had dinner at Pizza Hoise.
