Birthday Fun

Will haf a fun birthday weekend. On Friday, he woke up to streamers, "14" balloons, lotto tickets, Sweetwater's donuts, and gifts. We went to one of his favorite pizza places for dinner and finished the night with Cold Stone ice cream cake.  On Saturday night, he went to one of his hockey teammate’s houses to hang out with a group.  On Sunday, Phil drove Will and two friends to Comerica Park for the Tiger’s game.  That was Grann’s gift to Will.  The weather cooperated, they had great seats, and the boys each got balls from the bull pen.

5th Grade Concert

Alex had his 5th Grade Music Concert tonight. We started the evening at WPLL for Alex’s game and Will’s practice.  We had to leave the game a little early to get to the concert.  Their team won 15-1 and Alex caught a pop-up and made the throw to second for a double play.  The concert was very nice.  They sang several songs and Alex’s class got to demonstrate the recorder.  We ran to YOPA for ice cream afterwards.  Thanks to Grandma and Aunt Mara for coming down for both baseball and the show.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! The boys slept in a little (depsite Alex saying he would be up at 6:30) and then did their egg hunt. Then we started getting things ready for Easter brunch. We host Grandma, Aunt Mara, Uncle Ken, Katie, Billy, and Frankie. We had a nice meal and then spent the rest of the afternoon outside playing pickle ball, tipsy toss, and doing another egg hunt. After eveyone left, Phil took the boys to play a quick round of golf. It was a great day- we really lucked out with the weather.

WPLL Field Clean-up

We went to the WPLL fields today to help with field clean-up.  Alex and I worked on weeding the flag pole area and put down 12 bags of mulch.  Will worked to tie ribbons on the parking lot chains and then helped clean up field 9 with his teammates.  They spread a lot of dirt, painted the dugouts, and also helped with the batting cages.
