Memorial Weekend Fun

It was a beautiful Memorial Weekend and we spend the majority of it outside. On Friday, the boys played in the neighborhood. It's officially whiffle ball season! We spent a good portion of the day on Saturday working in the yard. On Saturday afternoon, we drove to St. Joe to walk along the pier and have dinner at Silver Beach Pizza. On Sunday, we were invited to a cookout at our friends' house on Howard Lake and on Monday afternoon we went to a pool party. It definitely feels like summer!

 

8th Grade Award Ceremony

Will had his 8th grade promotion and award ceremony tonight. Both Grann and Grandma came into town for it. Grann picked Will up from school and treated him to frozen yogurt before we had to head up to the high school auditorium.  It was a very nice ceremony.  Will received a gold GPA award.  All the students had their names read and they walked across the stage.  Most of the 8th grade teachers were there, too.  

 

8th Grade Farewell

Will had his 8th grade farewell dance st school tonight. He hung out with a few friends before hand and then a huge group walked to Dairy Queen after.  It looks like it was a fun night. 

 

Donuts with Grown-ups

Today was our final Donuts with Grown-ups at Moorsbridge.  It’s always a fun time!

 

Let’s Go KWings!

It was hockey tryout week for both boys.  They had two nights of tryouts and then both were asked back for the final night.  Rosters were posted Thursday afternoon.  Will is back on the 14U AA KWings blue with the same coach as last year.  Alex earned a spot on the 12U A KWings blue team.  One of his head coaches was his assistant from last year.  He has quite a few teammates from previous years in his team. He is so excited!  I am going to manage both teams.  

 

Staff Appreciation Week

We had an amazing staff appreciation week at school.  On Monday, we had Biggby coffee, bagels, and lotto tickets with MBE poker chips.  On Tuesday, there was a trail mix bar.  Lunch was catered by Jersey Giant on Wednesday and on Thursday we had cinnamon rolls and MBE playing cards.  Finally, on Friday lunch was catered by Roll-Up and there were some amazing cookies.  We also had a table set up with snacks all week.  

 

Happy Birthday, Winger!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Winger!  The day started with a rainy walk which led to a birthday bath.  Then he got special birthday treats and some new toys.
