Birthday Fun

To celebrate Will’s birthday, we went to dinner at One Well on Saturday night.  On Sunday, he woke up to balloons, streamers, lottery tickets, and gifts.  He reffed a game at Wings West and then he and Phil picked up some friends to go to the Tigers’ game.  The weather cooperated (it wasn’t looking good for a while) and they saw the Tigers win.

Champions Day at Comerica Park

We went to the Tigers game today because Alex’s KWings team was being recognized for winning their league championship.  All the winning teams, across all age levels and divisions, got to parade around the field before the game.  The weather was beautiful and we actually lucked into it being a double header.  It was a long day but so much fun!

 

Portage Central JV Gold Baseball

Will had his first High School baseball double header tonight against Gull Lake.  There are 17 kids on his team and it is a mixture of freshman and sophomores.  He sat the first game but played third base for the second game.  He walked twice and struck out once.  

Solar Eclipse 2024

We witnessed a solar eclipse today. We were at around 90-95% totality. The boys were able to view it as the got on the bus and then saw it reach it's peak when they got home. I was able to go outside with the rest of the school an Phil watched from the Adirondack chairs at home. The last time we had a solar eclipse in the area was 2017. The boys have changed a lot!

Champions Day at the KWings

Four KOHA Teams were recognized at the KWings game today for winning their District tournament or the LCAHL tournament. They went down on the ice between the first and second periods. It was a fun experience for the boys.
