Final Dinner at Wings West
One last dinner at Burdick's. We are hoping it's just "goodbye for now" but in case it isn't, thank you Wings West for all the memories and friendships. It's been a great 11 years.

Summer 2025 - Week 11
We had a quick visit from Uncle Andrew to wrap up Summer 2025. He arrived on Thursday and we spent the afternoon playing yard games. Will had a meeting at school and the rest of us went downtown to Bell’s (Will met is after his meeting). We had dinner and played cards. On Friday morning, we played disc golf at the WMU course before Phil and Andrew left for Detroit. Will had hockey games on Saturday and Sunday.

Summer 2025 - Week 10
Alex had his annual eye appointment this week and decided he wanted to try contacts. He had his lesson and was able to get them in, out, and back in during the hour. It would take him a few tries but he got them in the next few days and increased his wear time to 10 hours. Then on the fourth day, he hit a wall and count get them in. We may need to schedule another lesson!

Traverse City - Day 4
The boys didn’t want to swim on Saturday morning, so we took our time packing up and went into Traverse to walk the shops and get lunch at Little Fleet. Then we got on the road to pick up Winger and head home.

Traverse City - Day 3
On Friday morning, Phil and I walked the grounds again while the boys slept. Then we drove to the Platte River. Phil and Will used Alex’s kayak and a new one we acquired and kayaked down the river while Alex and I drove down to the beach and set up on the peninsula. It was a perfect beach day and we got a great spot. Both the river and the lake water were really warm. Alex floated in the river and then read for a while until we saw them coming down the river. Then Will and Alex swam for a while and Phil and I went for a walk along the lake. We had lunch at the beach and relaxed in the sun. We didn’t leave until around 4pm and stopped at Moomer’s for ice cream. Then we went into Traverse to play pinball at the Coin Slot and grabbed bread sticks and a small pizza at Paesano’s (all the traditions!). When we got back to the hotel, we played cards in the lobby and listened to the saxophone player.
