Stadium 14 - Kauffman

Since we were driving to Colorado for spring break, we decided to make a slight detour and stop in Kansas City for the Royals' opening day. It was a beautiful day - 80 degrees and sunny. We walked around the outside of the stadium and also saw Arrowhead which was right across the parking lot. Alex was very excited to play mini-golf which he learned about reading a Ballpark Mystery book when he was in first grade. He has been talking about it ever since. After the game (Royals lost in extra innings) we drove a few more hours and saw a great thunderstorm roll in while we were driving.

12U AA KWings Blue End of Season Party

Alex had his end of the season family game and team party tonight.  The players took on their family members (Will skated for the family team) and then we had pizza and awards in Burdick's.  Alex received the "Security Guard" award for his excellent defense.  I received a Grayling Ceramics wine chiller, beautiful flowers, and a gift card as my end of the season manager's gift.  We also got two more steins to add to our collection.  

 

Archery State Tournament 2025

Alex competed in the state archery tournament today for both 3D and Bullseye.  He shot a personal best in 3D with a 241.  He shot a 249 in bullseye.  Both scores qualified him for the national tournament in May.

 

MSBOA District 11 Festival

Congratulations to the CMS 7th Grade Band for an outstanding performance tonight at MSBOA District 11 Band Festival held at Marshall HS. The band earned STRAIGHT Division One “Superior” ratings from all judges — and A’s in all categories. This is a huge achievement!
