2 Months Old!

William is 2 months old today. It is amazing how much he has changed in such a short period of time. According to our scale, he is getting close to 12lbs (granted, it was at the end of the day) and he has definitely grown out of his newborn outfits. He can still wear most of his 3 month stuff and is even wearing some 3-6 month clothing.

A Few Newborn Photos

As you can see, we finally updated our main photo to include William. Here are a few more of our favorite newborn photos:

8 Weeks Old!

William is 8 weeks old today. He is getting so big! He is over 11 lbs and close to 24" long (according to our measurements). He is getting very chatty. You can carry on "conversations" with him, which is really funny. The major development is that he slept in his crib all week! He is able to put himself to sleep in the crib at night and is able to sleep for 5 hours without waking up. We haven't had the 6-7 hour sleep stretches we had with the car seat, but hopefully that is right around the corner! It looks like his eyes are officially starting to turn brown. The centers are definitely a brown/hazel color with blue around the edges. It is probably only a matter of time. Here are some photos from this week:

Hmmm... do you think he'll be a thumb sucker?

7 Weeks!

William turned 7 weeks old today. He is right around 11 lbs (according to our bathroom scale) and is close to 23" long (according to Grandpa's measurements). The biggest accomplishment is that he actually put himself to sleep in his crib last night and then spent the whole night in his crib (instead of his carseat). Unfortunately, he put himself to sleep around 9pm so his last feeding was at 8:30 instead of 10:30. This caused him to get up earlier in the night but he was able to go back to sleep in the crib so we are not complaining. Hopefully tonight we can get the 10:30 feeding in and he'll be back to only waking up once around 4:30/5:30 am. Next stop: sleeping through the night!

Here is William calmly hanging out in his crib. It is kind of boring but that's the point. It is a drastic change from his crib video at 2 weeks!

We'll Miss You Aunt Maran and Uncle Josh!

This weekend we went to Detroit to spend some time with Maran and Josh before they move to Tampa on Monday. We had a really nice visit (even though William was a bit out of sorts on Saturday) and hit up some favorite Detroit spots: Leo's Coney Island, China King, The Village, and even walked the trail.

6 Weeks Old!

William turned 6 weeks old on Tuesday. It is amazing how much he has changed even in just the last week or two. He is learning how to play, is constantly looking around, and loves to smile. Here are some highlights from this week:

All Smiles

William has learned how to smile. Granted, sometimes it means he is about to spit up or poop, but a lot of the time it is just because he is happy. He is also very curious and loves watching his toys as you move them around. It is kind of subtle, but you can see his head/eyes moving back and forth in this video as he follows his favorite sock monkey.

Technical Difficulties

We've been experiencing some technical difficulties with our computer lately so that is why there haven't been any good posts lately. The computer seems to freeze really quickly and I have a lot of trouble with uploading pictures and videos. We are currently computer shopping so I hope to have some updated photos soon!

William is doing great. Last night he slept from 11pm to 5am which was great for mom and dad! He is definitely getting bigger and spends more of his days awake. He likes to spend time in the bouncy seat and can follow his toys (especially the sock monkey Great Aunt Mara made) with his eyes.
