Weekend Update
We had a really great weekend... as usual! Friday night, we went to our friends' Halloween party. Will stayed home with Aunt Mara and Katie and Billy stepped in after Will went to sleep. We went downtown on Saturday morning to have some family photos taken along the river. The weather cooperated for the most part and we only got rained on a little. After pictures, we walked over to the GRAM because Will loves the fountain there. Unfortunately, the water had already been drained for the season so we ran in to the museum to see the Art Prize winner. Then we grabbed a quick lunch before heading home to relax for a bit. Then we went out to dinner and ran to the bookstore. Will enjoyed the fish tank in the kids' section and found a beanie baby that looked just like lovey - fortunately, we were able to distract him and were able to leave it behind without any trouble. On Sunday, we walked into town to do some grocery shopping and then spent the afternoon at home. In the evening, we went to Robinette's for an alumni club event we organized. Will had fun playing with all the little kids and had some cider and donuts. Yum!

Uncle Jim's Visit
Uncle Jim is moving from California to Boston and decided to make a pit stop in Grand Rapids for a few days. It was nice that he was finally able to meet William. Although it took Will a little bit to warm up to him, by the end of the visit they were buds and Uncle Jim even taught Will some new tricks.

Bulk Videos
Will has learned to do a lot of cute things in the past few weeks and we finally had time to capture them on video this weekend. Enjoy!
Will has learned most of his body parts and can say most of them as well.
Will likes helping out around the house.
Going down the slide all by himself
Having fun at the playground
Will learned how to get into the pool at swim class
Swimming with Dad
Uncle Art sent Will a really cool new truck. We captured his first glimpse of it on video.

Great Fall Weekend
It was the perfect fall weekend in Michigan (except for a 3 hour window Saturday afternoon which we will not discuss). Friday we walked into Gaslight for dinner outside. Then we stayed up a little past Will's bedtime to wait for Grann to get into town. Saturday morning, Will had swimming lessons and then we went straight downtown to walk around ArtPrize. We were able to see several of the top ten entries but didn't wait in the line to get into the Art Museum to see the winner. We stayed in for dinner on Saturday night and met Kristen's parents for breakfast on Sunday. Then we walked up to the new boardwalk by Reed's lake with Grann and the dogs.
We've noticed that Will has grown-up a lot in the past 2 weeks. His vocabulary has dramatically increased. He's up to probably 40+ words he uses correctly. New additions are: dog, crayon, keys, hug, tree, and nick-nick (which is short for kinnikinnick which is the first song on his favorite CD - "oh, kinnikinnick is growing by the ponderosa pine..."). He has also gotten more adventurous at the playground. He used to love swinging and riding the teeter-totter but didn't really like the slides. Yesterday, Phil took him to the park for a while and he was climbing, going through tunnels, and sliding down the slide all by himself.
This is made entirely out of rubix cubes. The only color not used is green.
