It was the perfect fall weekend in Michigan (except for a 3 hour window Saturday afternoon which we will not discuss). Friday we walked into Gaslight for dinner outside. Then we stayed up a little past Will's bedtime to wait for Grann to get into town. Saturday morning, Will had swimming lessons and then we went straight downtown to walk around ArtPrize. We were able to see several of the top ten entries but didn't wait in the line to get into the Art Museum to see the winner. We stayed in for dinner on Saturday night and met Kristen's parents for breakfast on Sunday. Then we walked up to the new boardwalk by Reed's lake with Grann and the dogs.
We've noticed that Will has grown-up a lot in the past 2 weeks. His vocabulary has dramatically increased. He's up to probably 40+ words he uses correctly. New additions are: dog, crayon, keys, hug, tree, and nick-nick (which is short for kinnikinnick which is the first song on his favorite CD - "oh, kinnikinnick is growing by the ponderosa pine..."). He has also gotten more adventurous at the playground. He used to love swinging and riding the teeter-totter but didn't really like the slides. Yesterday, Phil took him to the park for a while and he was climbing, going through tunnels, and sliding down the slide all by himself.
This is made entirely out of rubix cubes. The only color not used is green.
The GR skyline is made out of tiny marbles dropped down clear straws
