On Saturday, Will slept in until almost 7:15 (typically he's up by 6:15) which was really nice. After breakfast, we walked into Gaslight. When we got home, we transferred the last of his toys, books, and clothes over to his big boy room. We also set up his guard rail. He was so excited. He helped us move everything (see post from Saturday below). Then we went downtown for lunch and got caught in a major storm. We had told Will we were going to go to the art museum tto do a craft but started having second thoughts when we saw the downpour. He kept talking about it, however, so we ran through the rain (which Will loved) to the musuem. Will had fun painting a few small tiles and it had stopped raining by the time we were done. Then it was home for Will's first nap in his big boy room. He did great. He turned the lights on and played for a bit, but never cried or got worked up. When we went into this room afterwards, we found a bunch of his toy food in bed. He just wanted a snack!
On Sunday morning, we did another walk into Gaslight. Then we had to head to the Whitecaps game (U of M Club sponsored an event). Will sat with dad during registration and actually seemed a little interested in the game. Then we got to go to the barbeque deck for lunch. Will actually asked to go back to his seat to watch the game. He loved the YMCA and kept asking if he could run the bases. They were letting kids run the bases after the game so we stuck around and Phil took him down on the field. He was probably the littlest guy down there. He did great until second base - then he got distracted by the giant pig w/ an innertube riding a bike. Who can blame him? He back tracked twice to say hi to the pig before one of the volunteers pointed him in the right direction. Then he found dad at third base and ran to home plate. He was pretty proud of himself.
