Cherries and Bonsai

On Monday morning, the boys and I went down the road to Fruitridge Farms to do some tart cherry picking. We picked about 12 lbs and then were able to watch the pitting machine take out all the pits for us. I think we will be able to go blueberry picking next week. On Tuesday morning, we drove up to Grand Rapids. William was heading up north with Grandpa and Uncle Ken for their annual Boys' Trip. (Alex will have his turn later this month) After they left, Grandma, Alex, and I went out to lunch and then to the Botanical Gardens to see the new Japanese Garden. It was pretty incredible.  There were bridges, waterfalls, sculptures, fountains, bonsai trees, stone garden, and lots of natural paths.  We are looking forward to going back with William in a few weeks.
