Annual Trip to Chicago

This weekend was our annual Christmas trip to Chicago. Grann came into town on Thursday night and we left first thing Friday morning. Phil dropped Grann and I off at the hotel and then he and the boys parked the car along the Red Line. That way, the boys could take the train back into the city. On Friday, we had lunch at the Shake Shack and went to Water Tower. The boys picked out a lego set at the Lego Store and then we went to Millennium Park to ice skate. After skating, we walked around the ChristKindl Market in Chicago and then had dinner by the big Christmas Tree at the Walnut Room. Then we called it a day and went back to the hotel. 

On Saturday, we walked to the Metra Station after breakfast and took the train to the Museum of Science and Industry. The boys spent a lot of time in the Idea Factory (water room). We also looked at the trains (of course), the weather area, the space display and the farm equipment. After the museum, we took the train back to the hotel and had a delicious late lunch at Eataly. After some rest, we took the train to Lincoln Park to see Zoo Lights.
