Pool Party at Mr. Paul's

On Sunday, we were invited to the annual pool party at "Mr. Paul's" house. A group of past and present Plante Moran families are invited to swim and go out on their boat. We all really look forward to it every year!

Rainy Day at the Cottage

The boys went up to Interlochen with Grandma and Grandpa today to see the new pontoon boat. Unfortunately, it was pretty cool and rainy up north but they still managed to squeeze in some "up north" fun. They stopped at the traditional McDonald's in Reed City, played pinball baseball, and had lunch at Bud's. The rain stopped in the afternoon so they were able to go out on the boat. The boys each took a turn driving. It looks like they had a great time!

Beach Day

Yesterday we spent the day with friends in St. Joseph. It was a great day at the beach - it wasn't too hot, the water wasn't too cold, and there were a lot of waves. We played in the water, built sand castles, and played on the beach playground. Then we walked up for lunch at Silver Beach Pizza which is right on the Amtrak line. After lunch, the kids played at the splash pad before heading down to the beach for a few more hours.

Weekend in Cincinnati

We spent a fun-filled weekend in Cincinnati visiting Mimi and G-Bob, Aunt Sara and Uncle Jeff, and Abbey, Owen, and Lyla. The kids hadn't seen each other in two years, but were off and running within minutes of being reunited. We spent Friday at Mimi and G-Bob's playing and then went to Skyline and Zip Dip for dinner. On Saturday morning, we went to watch Owen in his football scrimmage. Then we all went back to Mimi and G-Bob's for lunch and more craziness. We met up later for dinner at a restaurant called "The Cabana" and then spent a solid hour playing at a nearby playground. On Sunday morning, we said our goodbyes and went downtown to see part of a Cincinnati Reds game. We had a quick picnic downtown and the boys played at the river side park. We only stayed at the game for about an hour and a half (tickets were only $7 each) but were able to walk around the park, pick up souvenir bats for the boys, and watch 4 innings.

Hunting Pirates

The boys had such a fun day in South Haven. They got to chase pirates around Lake Michigan with Grandpa. The "Friends Good Will" ship left from the Michigan Maritime Museum. It went down the channel and out to the lake. The weather cooperated - it was windy, but it didn't rain until they were on their way back in. The boys enjoyed the ride and they were able to catch up with the pirates and share the treasure!
