I Think He's Ready for Kindergarten

While Alex was in daycare last year, he started learning his "Lively Letter" letter sounds. Almost every night, he stays up late looking at books in his room. When I mentioned this to Will's former Kindergarten teacher, she started sending home baggie books for him to read. He is devouring them! He very rarely struggles to read them. He might get stuck the first time he sees a new type of word (-ing, -ed, etc) but once you explain it to him he remembers for the next time he sees a similar word. He usually wants to read 3+ books in a sitting. He is already on baggie book #79. I think William read through book 100 when he was in Kindergarten. Alex's writing has really improved as well. If he's not reading in his room he is writing notes.

William is also a little bookworm. We recently finished reading all the Harry Potter books to him. Now, he has started them over and is reading them on his own. We love how much they both enjoy reading!
