Alex had a great 8th birthday. He woke up to a decorated doorway and a giant "8" balloon. When he went downstairs, he found decorations in the kitchen (complete with eight cashwords lotto tickets) and some presents. His gifts from us included several National Geographic dig kits - fossils, geodes, and gemstones. He loves chiseling away at them. We also gave him a six month membership to Sky Zone so we added that to our agenda for the day. We got to Sky Zone shortly after they opened and the boys jumped for almost an hour and a half. Will enjoyed dodge ball, the warped wall, and the basketball hoops the best. Alex loves jumping into the foam pit and the trapeze. After Sky Zone, we went to Airway to bowl a few games and have pizza for lunch. On our way home, we told Alex he could choose what we would make him for dinner. He opted for Spaghetti-Os with meatballs so we stopped at Hardings to pick some up. He's pretty easy to please. We spent some time digging for gemstones and cracking geodes in the driveway and then some of Alex's buddies stopped by to play for a bit. After dinner, we had cake and then played foosball and darts in the basement. I'd say he had a good day! (Note: Most of the video below is in the slow-motion. I thought it was funny to watch their expressions and Alex's hair!)
