London - Day 7
It's our final day in London! It was a bit drizzly as we walked to get coffee/hot chocolate, but the sun was shining by the time we walked to the British Museum. There was so much to see! Alex spent most of his time in the Ancient Greece and Rome section. I think he read almost every sign on every display in the first few rooms. Then we had to move him along a bit. Will went through almost every display/room at the museum, but only stopped to read certain things. After the museum, we walked to Kings Cross Station to see Platform 9 3/4. At that point, it had started to rain again and the line to take your picture went outside. So the boys passed on that. We did snap a quick photo of Alex near the platform. We took the train back to the hotel and went to The Mudlark for lunch. The exterior was used in The Prisoner of Azkaban. Then we went back to the hotel to pack. Unfortunately, our evening plans of riding the London Cable Cars across the Thames were ruined by extreme winds (it really was incredibly windy). So, we walked around to see the bridge lit up at night, walked to the Gherkin, and stumbled upon Leadenhall Market which was used in the first Harry Pottee movie. We ended the night at a Greek restaurant by the hotel.
