First Snow!

The first snowfall did not disappoint! At first, we weren't expecting much so we built tiny snowmen with snow that had settled on the tables and chairs. But, after a while, we realized we had enough for a full grown snowman! The boys spent several hours outside playing.

William's Music Concert

William had his first music concert this afternoon. It took place in the music room - his teacher finds that the kids do better their first time if it is in the familiar classroom with a smaller audience. It was a very nice show. They learned a lot in the first two months of school!

Hockey and Skating

Alex finished up his Learn to Skate program today. He has become a great little skater! They all got a USA hockey jersey at the end of the session and he is really looking forward to Beginner Hockey which starts mid December. It was a game day for William. He did great! He had a hat trick in his first game and then also scored goals in his other two games. He has gotten really good at skating around people with the puck which helps with the goal scoring.

Fire & Ice Hockey Tournament

William had his first hockey tournament this weekend. He got his new jersey that morning and was excited to show it off. He is #6 this year. His team played very well. They lost their first game by quite a bit - the other team seemed to be a lot bigger than they were. But then they won their next three games. Grandma and Grandpa came down to watch the last two games since we had plans with friends. They got to see William score 2 goals in the third game and 3 goals in the last game. We are very proud of our little hockey player.

Trick or Treat!

The boys did a great job carving their own pumpkins this year. We had a fun time trick or treating with friends in the neighborhood!

Curious Kids Halloween

Today was Alex's Halloween parade and party at Curious Kids. The kids went to school wearing their costumes and then paraded through the school while trick or treating in the other classrooms. Then, later in the morning, they had their party. I was one of the volunteers and and I led the kids in creating their "witches brew" snack and in a game of Halloween Bingo. Alex was a champ - he has had a cold since last week. It triggered an asthma attack so he was wheezy and tired but managed to enjoy the party anyway. We went to the doctor this afternoon and got him on some prednisone. Hopefully, he feels better soon!

Moorsbridge Halloween

William had a half day of school today so they decided to make it "Halloween" at Moorsbridge. They had their party mid-morning followed by the costume parade. I was able to help with the food station at the party. Now we will head back to school tonight for the Fall Harvest Festival.
