Go Blue!

On Wednesday morning, we drove to Ann Arbor for our tour of the Big House. We gave the tour to Phil last Christmas and we were finally able to go! We went up in the towers and saw the press box, the broadcast booth, and the suites. The boys thought it was really fun to see the stadium from up high. Then we went into the game day locker room before spending about 30 minutes on the field - which was definitely the highlight! We brought a football along and all got to catch touchdown passes in the end zone. The boys also ran the length of the field, sat on the benches, and stood on the "M."

Thanksgiving Show

Alex had his Thanksgiving "performance" at school today. I actually caught part of the dress rehearsal (in the green shirts) as well as the actual show. The kids were so sweet!

Skating with the Broncos

Sitting on the boards
Today was the annual KOHA skate with the Broncos. We always have so much fun. We all get to skate for the first hour while the Bronco hockey players skate around as well. They are so nice to all the kids. Then the boys can wait to get a team poster. We move down the table and each player signs it. Then we get a pizza dinner at the end.

The boys have been keeping busy at school. They recently had "Donuts for Dad" before school where they got to enjoy cider and donuts with Phil. We also "hosted" a Noodles & Company benefit night - the boys helped me run the PTO table while we were there.

Sutton's Bay

Phil and I took a trip up to Sutton's Bay for our first HOA meeting. As we pulled into town, a light snow started to fall. The town looked so pretty. The meeting was in the quaint Sutton's Bay library and it was fun to meet our "neighbors." After the meeting, we went out to lunch with a group of them and then made a quick visit to our property. We now understand how you can judge the severity of the snowstorm by how far you can see across the bay! Then we spent the evening wandering around Traverse City.

Hockey, Hockey, and More Hockey!

The boys both had their first hockey games of the 2017-2018 season last Saturday. Alex got his jersey (Bancroft Law Sharks) and is #1. His game was at 7:45 on Saturday morning before the 8U Fire and Ice Tournament and Chili Cook-off. William also got his jersey (Roc Electric) and played in four games throughout the day. It was a long day at the ice rink but the kids had fun running around between games and we enjoyed some chili. Both boys scored goals in their games. I was able to get Alex's on video - unfortunately, I missed William's. (The 8U game moves a lot faster!)
