Summer Time in Northern Michigan - Wednesday/Thursday

We had a great long weekend up in Interlochen/Traverse City! We drove up Wednesday afternoon and had dinner at Bud's before unpacking at the cottage. Then we took our traditional first night walk down to the lake. On Thursday, the boys played the baseball game on the porch while they ate breakfast and then we went into Traverse City to play mini golf at Pirates Cove. Then we had lunch at Little Fleet before playing disc golf. We discovered a course at Hickory Hills which is also a ski resort. It was so pretty back in the woods. It was a 24 hole course but we only made it through 9 because we wanted to get back to the cottage to go out on the boat. The boys did some fishing. Alex had the only bite: a 12"-14" small mouth bass. It was a team effort to get it out of the water. Will had to help reel it in and Phil took it off the hook. Alex was very proud of his catch. Then the boys did some tubing and we roasted hot dogs and s'mores over the fire for dinner.

Will's Week at Camp

Will had an amazing week at overnight camp. The older kids had more freedom so there weren't as many photos of Will on the camp site. He had a week full of fun activities: zip line, lake front, tubing, swimming in the pool, mini golf, hobo breakfast, lumberjack breakfast, mario cart races in the evening, camp fires, the rock wall, and numerous other evening games.
