Happy New Year!

We celebrated New Years Eve at home this year.  We ordered in dinner from Texas Corners Brewing Company and competed in the Maguran Family NYE Game Night.  We played dome hockey, foosball, darts, Otrio, and Hockey Sauce.  We ran out of time for Carcassone.  Points were tallied and trophies were awarded for first place and runner-up.  We also had a trophy for the overall game night champion which was will.  We had music playing, the Michigan basketball game on in the background, and we all stayed up to see the ball drop at midnight (except for Winger).

Dome Hockey: Will (first place) Dad (runner-up)
Foosball: Alex (first place) Dad (runner-up)
Darts: Will (first place) Alex (runner-up)
Hockey Sauce: Will (first place) Alex (runner-up)
Otrio: Dad (first place) Will (runner-up)

You'll notice that I did not win anything in any event.

Merry Christmas!

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable Christmas at home.  The boys woke up at 7am and we went downstairs to start the festivities.  We were excited to see snow on the ground! We enjoyed our traditional breakfast of cinnamon rolls and coffee before digging into our stockings around 8.  Then we moved onto gifts.  We took our time and played with new items as we went.  Some of the highlights for the boys were:  three person chess, a Zelda shield and chest, and an arcade game for the basement.   We finished opening gifts around noon and then got things ready for Grandma.  We had some snacks when she arrived and then opened more gifts.  Later in the afternoon, we took Winger for a snowy walk and then spent the evening playing with our new games.

Christmas Eve

We had a fun Christmas Eve.  The boys enjoyed a giant donut that Aunt Maran and Uncle Josh sent them.  We went to Grand Rapids for a masked-up Christmas Eve.  We walked into Gaslight Village to see the Christmas Tree before driving around to look at the luminaria.  Then we went home to set out cookies for Santa and head to bed.

Gingerbread Boys

We checked gingerbread boys off our holiday bucket list today.  The boys are getting more independent with the rolling/cutting/decorating process.  They turned out great!

Bell Ringing

Some of the KWings and their siblings rang bells at Hardings for the Salvation Army.  Will and Alex were both there.  They received a lot of donations during their two hour window!
