Winger Cuteness

Here are a few cute pictures of Winger from the last few weeks.  He is definitely more comfortable with the boys and loves to play with them.  He also loves the snow and to curl up for a nap.  We gave him his first at-home bath and while he didn't love the experience, he did tolerate it.  

Backyard Hockey

Two families on Will's hockey team have (very impressive) backyard rinks.  They invited the boys over for some friendly competition.  

LED Lights

Will received some cool LED nights from Aunt Katie and Uncle Will.  We put both strands up in his room and didn't have quite enough to make it all the way around.  So he used some Christmas money to buy another strand to finish the project.  They are really fun - there are 20+ colors to choose from and different settings for them to fade in and and out.  Alex like them so much he decided to use some of his Christmas money to order some for his room.  

Marble Run

Alex and I finished the marble run he received for Christmas.  It was quite the engineering challenge.  But, now that it is complete, it is soothing to watch the marble zip along the track.  

Birthday Fun

 Alex had a great birthday!  He woke up to streamers and a giant "9" balloon outside his door.  Then he found decorations, lotto tickets, and gifts in the kitchen.  He received some really nice presents!  Then we went outside to play in the snow which was perfect for building snow forts!  In the afternoon, the boys on our street came over for outdoor birthday cake and a Zelda jewel hunt in the yard.  Alex got to choose where we ordered dinner (Jac's pizza) and we watched Detective Pikachu before bed.  It wasn't a typical birthday but he still had a great day.

Happy 9th Birthday to Alex!  He loves Zelda, anything shiny, Garfield, and sleeping in his shark.  

 

Happy New Year!

We celebrated New Years Eve at home this year.  We ordered in dinner from Texas Corners Brewing Company and competed in the Maguran Family NYE Game Night.  We played dome hockey, foosball, darts, Otrio, and Hockey Sauce.  We ran out of time for Carcassone.  Points were tallied and trophies were awarded for first place and runner-up.  We also had a trophy for the overall game night champion which was will.  We had music playing, the Michigan basketball game on in the background, and we all stayed up to see the ball drop at midnight (except for Winger).
