This is the first year I did not make a birthday cake for either of the boys. Will opted for an ice cream cake when he turned 10 so naturally Alex wanted the same thing. Here's a trip down memory lane:

Alex’s Birthday Party

 Originally, Alex wanted to wait a few weeks to celebrate his birthday with a few friends.  But, on December 26, he decided he wanted to go to Airway for a small party.  Fortunately, we were able to get it booked and the 6 friends he wanted to invite were able to come.  They had fun bowling, had pizza and cake, and played laser tag.  Alex had so much fun!

Birthday Fun

Alex woke up to our traditional decorations: door streamers, a giant “10” balloon (tie dye colors this year!), and lotto tickets hanging from the ceiling.  He also had a nice pile of gifts.  We opened a few before his hockey game and saved the rest for after.  He’s a luck boy!

Bronco Family Game

The Broncos played a fun Kids vs. Family game this morning. Phil put on some skates, shin pads, and a helmet and took to the ice. There were several dads thay knew how to play and also some older siblings that played for the family team. Will reffed with another sibling. It was a lot of fun for everyone!

 

Happy 10th Birthday, Alex!

Happy 10th Birthday to our kind and compassionate, hockey and baseball playing, Pokemon and Minecraft loving, Alex! We hope you have an amazing day!

 

Happy New Year!

We decided to stay in again this New Years Eve.  We ordered pizza and watched the Michigan football game.  We also did another “Maguran Family NYE Game Night.”  We had a tournament set up and played: dome hockey, foosball, darts, hockey sauce, shuffleboard and the ring game.  First and second place trophies were awarded for each activity and then the overall winner got a bigger trophy.  Phil was our overall winter this year but we all did come away with a trophy - including me (second place darts).  I didn’t win anything last year.
