Summer 2023 - Week 5

Week 5 of summer included sleepovers for both boys.  They also practiced pitching/catching in the driveway.  Will started practicing for when he takes Driver’s Ed in January (in an empty church parking lot) and also helped ump son Little League All Star games.  While I was taking Will to hockey camp and Phil was in Gaylord golfing, Alex and Winger stayed with Grandma for two nights.  They took a trip to the spillway and out for ice cream.

 

Trip Down Memory Lane - Hinsdale

After dropping the boys at camp, I made a detour through Hinsdale on the way home.  I drove by my old elementary school, our old lot, walked around downtown, saw the Hinsdale pool, and made a quick stop at Katherine Legge Park.  It was fun to see what had changed and what was still the same 35 years later.

LFA Hockey Camp

I dropped Will and a buddy off at Lake Forest Academy for Hockey Camp today.  It’s going to be a fun week of hockey (2 hours/day), weight room, dry land games, swimming, etc.  

 

West Portage Majors All Stars

Alex made the West Portage Majors All Star Team this year. They had a great tournament run and lost in the semifinals. They were able to play 6 games and finished 4-2.
