Snow!

We finally got some snow!  We had to take some photos of the lights before it melted.  

 

More Archery

Alex had his second archery tournament this morning.  He didn’t shoot as well as last week but still had a lot of fun!

 

Happy Hanukkah

We had our Hanukkah dinner tonight which consisted of brisket, turkey, matzo ball soup, latkes and apple sauce, challah, babka, and jelly donuts.  After dinner, the boys opened their gifts.

Elf in Concert

After school, we drove to Grand Rapids for some holiday fun.  We walked through the downtown market and the Christkindl market.  The boys got hot chocolate in souvenir mugs  and we saw the Grayling Ceramics booth which is owned by Alex’s hockey coach.  We had dinner at Big O’s Pizza and then saw Elf in Concert with the Grand Rapids symphony.  After the movie, we walked the Skywalk and went to see the tree outside the art museum.  

 

6th Grade Band Concert

Today was Alex’s first 6th grade band concert.  They did such a great job.  It was so nice to hear all the instruments come together.  

 

Christmas Time

 Due to Alex’s hockey tournament, we weren’t able to go to Hart’s Tree Farm like we usually do to get our tree.  Instead, we found a local tree farm that was open before Thanksgiving.  We went and found our tree on Monday after school but didn’t decorate it until we got back into town on Sunday night.
