Rainy Whitecaps

The boys gave Grandpa tickets to a Whitecaps game for Father's Day. We chose a noon game on a Monday and it was perfect timing because they could head up to the cottage from Grand Rapids. The weather, however, was not perfect! It started raining on the way to the game. By the time we got there, it was raining pretty hard and the game had been delayed 30 minutes. Every 30 minutes or so they would delay the game even longer. Fortunately, we were able to find seats in the top row under the overhang. They put "Frozen" on the scoreboard and that kept the kids occupied. The game finally started at 2pm (after we had been at the stadium for 3 hours!). We had great seats - second row behind home plate. We stayed for 5 innings. By then, the sun came out and it was pretty steamy. I think William would have stayed for the whole game, but we had had enough!
