Merry Christmas! We had a wonderful time on Christmas day. William was up bright and early (5:45am) but knew we wouldn't go downstairs until 6:30. After waking up Alex, we discovered that Santa had visited us during the night. We had our traditional cinnamon roll breakfast and hot cocoa/coffee and then started with our stockings. The boys were excited to find candy, personalized hockey bobble heads, and lots of games in their stockings. Then we moved on to the presents under the tree. The boys are very good at taking their time. We take turns opening gifts, one at a time, and stop to play as we open. The boys received a marble mat and "shuffle board" mat from us as well as games and a basketball hoop (which won't be installed until spring). Santa got them the legos they had asked for and sent them on a scavenger hunt to find their big gift - a dome hockey table. We finished opening our gifts around noon - just in time for Grandma and Grandpa to come over for a few hours. We had a light lunch and the kids showed off their new things. Then we opened even more gifts. We spent the remainder of the day playing dome hockey, assembling Legos, and watching the Polar Express. It was a great day!
