Alex has expressed an interest in archery lately so we ordered him a bow, some arrows, and a target and signed him up for archery camp. The bow is the kind they will use in middle school if he decides to join the archery team. The camp was at the Sports Dome in Schoolcraft and was taught by the Central Middle School phys ed teacher - who is also the archery instructor and one of the instructors at the fishing camp the boys attend. There were three beginners (elementary age) kids in the camp and the rest were middle school age. On the final day, they had a tournament and Alex won the elementary division. He actually tied one of the other kids with a score of 251. The official tie breaker is whoever had the most 10s (bullseyes). Alex won the tie break! He was very excited.
