Cancun - Day 1

We started our first day of vacation at 2am and we were in the road to the Detroit airport by 2:45am.  It took a little bit of time to check in with Frontier and then we were in a long line to get through TSA (it was the length of the Evans terminal).  Our flight to Cancun was direct and we landed at 10:30am Cancun time.  We cleared security quickly but then had to wait 2 hours for luggage.  Fortunately, we didn’t have to wait for our car to the resort and it was only 15 minutes away.  After check-in, we had lunch at the Grand Buffet and then were able to get in our room.  We went for a walk around the resort and then spent some time at the water park.  We stopped at the bowling alley to play shuffleboard before having dinner at La Cantina.  After dinner, we were all pretty tired and called it a day.
