After the party, we drove to Ann Arbor for the Michigan hockey game. We had great seats. They were right behind the goal and right next to the "tunnel" that the Michigan players walked down to get on the ice. The boys got a lot of "high fives" from the players as they entered the rink. As they were leaving after warm-ups, one of the players stopped to give the boys each a puck. They were thrilled! Phil and William went to walk around during intermission, and Alex was looking for more high fives when one of the event staff gave him an official Big 10 puck with a vintage wolverine on one side and a Michigan Hockey shirt. They are so lucky! We have now caught at ball at a Growler's game, got a ball from a coach at the Cleveland Indian's game, were handed a puck by a ref at at WMU hockey game, had a puck tossed to us at another WMU hockey game and then got 3 pucks plus a shirt at the U of M hockey game. It was a great way to wrap up the hockey season. Now we have a month off before baseball starts!

Last Day of Hockey
Saturday was the boys' last day of hockey for the season. Alex played really well in his morning games. He scored three goals - one in each game. Afterward, they received their medals and KOHA patches. Alex's coach said he was definitely the most improved over the season and he couldn't believe how well he skates now. The team celebrated with cupcakes in the locker room. William had his final games in the afternoon. He played very well and had a goal in his last game. The team got together for pizza at the restaurant upstairs and also finished it off with cupcakes.
