Celebration of Life

On Saturday, we celebrated the life of Martin Cieslak at Boatwerks Waterfront Restaurant in Holland, Michigan. It was one of my dad's favorite spots. He would often take family and friends that were visiting there to enjoy lunch (with chips and guacamole) on the deck overlooking Lake Macatawa. It was a beautiful day and we were so fortunate to be able to spend time with family and friends from near and far (Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Detroit, Ann Arbor, Chicago, Madison, Door County, and Atlanta).

My good friends Kim, Michele, and Suzanne put together this thoughtful memorial at West Portage Little League. They cleaned up and replanted the area around the flagpole and added this nice plaque in honor of my dad.
