Neighborhood Camp Out

We were invited to a neighborhood cookout/camp out last night on the block behind us. Our friends got up at 6:30am and stated up their smoker. They made smoked turkey, brisket, and ribs. Delicious! Everyone brought something and we ended up with quite a spread. There were two bounce houses going, a lot of motorized vehicles, a baseball game, bikes/scooters, and even some rides on the new zip line. Once it started to get dark, the toys were put away and the fire pit and s'smores started. Then it was time for sparklers and fireworks in the cul-de-sac. That was when Alex and I left for home. Phil and William stayed to camp out with 4 other families. They did a glow in the dark egg hunt and settled down for the night. The backyard looked so cute with the five tents lit by colorful lanterns. It was a great evening!
